Handy Men

This morning the wood burning stove was having an issue and kept filling the house with smoke.  So, Andrew and Clint went to work to get it fixed. They were up on the roof, they pulled out the insert, they were cleaning and sweeping and fixing.  At the end of all their hard work I look over to see...

Yup, Clint is vacuuming off Andrew.
Just made me smile : )

VOTE

On Friday December 10th I'm having my ultrasound.
There are a few things we will be looking for.
Boy or girl?
One baby or two?
Why? You ask would I even possibly be having twins? Well, that is Andrews guess and so I thought it would be fun to do a poll to see how many people agree with him.

So please VOTE AT THE TOP OF MY PAGE on the poll : )
THANKS!

Here is a current picture that might give you an idea... I am 19 weeks.

Advent Calender

I was wanting to do an advent calender for the kids this year and I was trying to find one that was inexpensive to make.  I found a great idea HERE ....and after a few hours of hard work between me and my mom it was complete! I think it turned out great and I am just happy to have one complete before the 1st : )

Here is a side view so you can see our fancy pockets....
Materials:
-1 cereal box for base
-1 Rachel Ray Christmas magazine issue for pics on pockets
-Wrapping paper to cover the cereal box
-Ribbon for hanging
-Black card stock for pockets
-Glue stick for attaching pics
-Hot glue to secure pockets

I found ALL these items around the house so.....
Total cost: $0.00 yay!!

Roasted Pumpkin Seed Recipe

After carving our fresh picked pumpkin from the pumpkin patch we decided to try out a recipe for roasting the seeds.
They turned out delicious and crunchy! The girls loved them too!

Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

1 1/2 T. Butter, melted
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Garlic Salt
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 C. Pumpkin seeds

First we boiled the seeds in salt water until they looked grey in color.  This helps get the extra gooey stuff off and helps flavor the seeds.

Then mix the above ingredients and pour the seeds on baking sheet.
Bake for 45 min to 1 hour at 275 degrees.

Morning coffee.

Here I am.
A mom.
Dreaming about a cup of coffee in Europe.
Sitting at my patio set.
That represents where my life is right now.
It's fun and humorous.
Full of little smiling faces and giggles.
My coffee tastes good.
