Audrey Hepburn

I went into a new consignment store last week.  It was the best decorated one I've ever been in very modern and fun. Lots of black, white and pink.  I noticed there were a few pictures of Audrey Hepburn here and there.  Needless to say I was inspired so I painted this.  I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.
I was able to finish it in one day... working on it during nap time and about an hour after the kids went to bed for the night.

Spring Flowers

My mom has these beautiful tulips that just bloomed. I just snapped a few pics of them yesterday.

This one was a complete accident but I really like it.

I didn't photoshop any of these... I'm just amazed at how much the colors just pop.

Light Scoop

I have found one of the coolest camera accessories ever!
Introducing the Light Scoop ...just go to the link they explain it and show pictures much better then I can.

I found this wonderful review on the Light Scoop on Elizabeth Halford's site. Big thanks to her for her wonderful site and info she puts out there.

Now here is some before and after shots...

Before: washed out, a bit of glare on the image.

After: you can see the detail and more natural, diffused lighting ahh beautiful!

I'm so happy with my purchase.  Before I actually avoided taking pictures inside a lot just because I didn't like the harsh light that a flash produces.  Which made me miss capturing fun events in my kids lives.
I was so pleased with my Light Scoop I sent them a poem which I'd like to share with you....

Oh dearest Light scoop... where have you been all my life?
I'm in love with you.
Before you my pics looked like poo.
Illuminating my kids faces with soft light.
There big blues eyes so cheery and bright.
Good bye harsh shadows and red eye.
I'm telling my friends a light scoop they should buy.
Thank you so much for the light scoop.
No longer will my photos look like poop.

Sporty Portable High Chair

Have you ever been in that situation where you needed a high chair but there wasn't one available?
Today I discovered a quick fix that I'd like to call the
Sporty Portable High Chair!!
Notice how it holds his arms slightly to the side so there is no grabbing the spoon...
It hold him nice and steady for easy feeding...
The nice spandex allows for comfort...

It was a definite success... even with much wiggling he never slide down or tipped over.

To buy your Sporty Portable High Chair just send your check or money order for only $49.95* to me : )
*plus $9.95 shipping and handling

A little over a week ago Andrew told me he bought a surprise for the girls and not to look at the bank account so I wouldn't know what it was.
I thought, "This is fun.  I like surprises."

We have been waiting for the package to come and today it did.

We saw the Fed Ex truck drive up to the house.  I was so excited to see the surprise he had for the girls.... What could it be?

**Notice Taurin's ripped Crossfit arms... or should I say, "guns"

The girls helped me bring it in... the label gave no indication of what company it had come from.  ("We"=Me, my mom, and sister had been guessing since he told me it was coming)

I cut the tape and the girls were excited to see what was in the box... they love mail.  Who doesn't?  I was excited and it wasn't even for me.

They lift the lid....

And pull out the crumpled brown paper....

What is it?
Wait a minute???
That is definitely not for children?
It's a...
It's a..... a...

Coffee Shop Actions

  + B&W
I edited this photo with Triple Shot Color Pop actions that I downloaded for FREE from their website.  Actions are basically a set of layers and settings that will be created on your image in Photoshop with just the click of a button.  Really amazing and time saving on the editing side of things. Not to mention they make your picture look incredible.
